About Brico
We are dedicated to making financial licensing easier, cheaper and more joyful.

Removing the Barrier to Financial Innovation
At Brico, we're committed to leveling the playing field for financial innovation, starting with the first hurdle: the complicated and costly licensing process. We're redefining how Financial Institutions and FinTechs manage their licensing — from applications to renewals, Brico uses automation to simplify every step.

Executive Team
Snigdha Kumar
CEO and Co-Founder
Snigdha spent years building consumer financial products at Digit, where she was Head of Product Operations through the company's acquisition by Oportun. She saw the licensing problem from the inside: the months of work, the legal spend, and the way it quietly sets the ceiling on how fast a financial company can grow.
She sits on the Financial Innovation Advisory Board at the New York State Department of Financial Services, and holds a Master's in Public Policy from Harvard. She started Brico in 2023 to make licensing something a company builds once instead of rebuilding in every state.
Edward Swiac
CTO and Co-Founder
Ed builds the platform. He came to Brico from engineering roles at Marqeta and Twitter, and spent his time at Marqeta on infrastructure for regulated financial companies.
Licensing data is unusually hostile to software: fifty agencies, inconsistent formats, and requirements that change without announcement. Ed's work is making that tractable enough that a compliance team can act on it rather than research it.
Christina Luk
VP of Operations & Compliance, Founding Team
Christina has run compliance from the inside at companies that needed licenses to operate. She was Head of Compliance and Operations at Jaris, and held compliance and legal roles at Next Insurance, Tally, and TrueAccord before that.
She joined Brico's founding team in 2023 and leads the specialists who work with customers on applications, renewals, and the questions a checklist does not cover. She was also part of the industry conversations with California's DFPI that preceded the DFAL surety bond change.
Molly Siems Cavanaugh
Head of GTM
Molly leads go-to-market. She spent more than fifteen years in business development and partnerships, most recently at Justworks and at Welcome, an Optimizely company. She holds a BA in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics from the University of Pennsylvania.
